This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The veterinary instruments I am requesting will automatically have a home in my classroom among my students. My Veterinary Application class, Small Animal Science classes, and Advanced Animal Science class will all benefit and use any and all instruments on my list.

My Veterinary Application students will be working towards obtaining their Certified Veterinary Assistant certificate while they take my class and these veterinary instruments, bandages, needles, syringes, and a microscope will be used as practice materials in multiple ways.

We will be able to use the veterinary equipment so that the students can see the equipment up close, learn how to properly use the instrument, learn how to properly wrap injured animals limbs, and learn how to properly draw up medication or vaccines. This will all be hands on learning that will come in handy for their final exam, which is their certification test.

With this veterinary equipment my hope is that my students will be able to fall in love with learning about the veterinary field as I did being a veterinary technician for three years. I hope that one day my students will want to continue their veterinary education and make a positive impact in the veterinary field one day.
