Help me give my students their own hands-on base ten manipulatives to better grasp their understanding of addition and subtraction.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Felix's classroom raised $708

My Project
We are a small community located in the heights of Wahiawa, Hawaii. Many of the students we serve are from multigenerational households. With Covid-19 we were challenged with not having enough manipulatives for all our students to have for themselves. We were left to show our students how concrete manipulatives were to be used to solve problems. We're asking to have our students have their OWN Base Ten blocks to work on independently, in small groups, or with a partner. The base tens will be used strategically to help our students problem-solve by adding and subtracting with regrouping. We can still keep our students safe.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
