Help me give my students wish list books! We had the book fair this week, and while some students were sent to school with money to buy books, many of my students didn't have money for their books.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my classroom are hard-working and kind people. My students are eager to share and help others. They work hard every day to grow in their learning, which is truly motivating to watch!
Visitors in our classroom have said that they have never seen such an inclusive classroom community, particularly for students with special needs!
My students are accepting of each other's areas for growth and are always so thoughtful towards each other (bringing their classmates flowers or stuffed animals from our calm down area when they are sad, sharing toys, and showing genuine patience with each other). I have 100% confidence that my students will treat any gift for our classroom as sacred and continue the cycle of generosity in our classroom community.
My Project
We have a wide variety of reading levels in my classroom, with a range of reading levels from Kindergarten to high school level! Our goal is for every reader to be challenged, and develop a love of reading. The lower readers in our classroom struggle to find books that fit their 3rd grade interests. Our native Spanish speaking students have also shown so much gratitude and enthusiasm for our handful of books in Spanish, and would greatly benefit from more! Oftentimes, my native Spanish speakers read at a higher level in Spanish than they do in English. This builds their confidence and allows them to grow in all subject areas, including reading in English!
My patient students have read their favorite books over and over, and I would love to see them challenge themselves and expand their interests through reading new books!
There is nothing more enticing than a brand new book. Just this week, we had the book fair and I found myself asking students to put bookmarks in their new books so that they can follow along with our math lessons. Their thirst for reading is growing more every day. Thank you in advance for considering a donation to keep our reading enthusiasm alive!
