My Project

I work in a Title I school where my students qualify for the free or reduced-price lunch program. The student population is 95% African American. Many of my students live in areas of extreme poverty. Even though my students may deal with terrifying real-life circumstances, they still come to school ready to work and ready to be challenged to the next level. My scholars never cease to amaze me with their wit, charm, and amazing talents.

My students and I are asking for Amazon Basic hand sanitizer and Amazon Basic Care facial tissues to help fight off Wisconsin winter germs that make us sick!

We are also asking for a few supplies that we need to aid our learning. My AP English students need to have Rayleigh Wired Earbuds so they can watch their College Board AP study videos as soon as they enter the room.

We are asking for Expo markers; because in our classroom, the same colors we requested are slowly drying up.

Additionally, the move to a new classroom has given me much more wall space to hang posters! We need pushpins for this. For my Computer Science students, I am asking for a Technology Classroom Decor Computer Science Poster. It is a word bubble that shows much of what we are currently studying.
