My Students
My students are a very diverse group: I teach them all; academically gifted and ones who struggle, wealthy students and poverty stricken ones too. I am a CTE teacher. What that means is I teach students who may or may not be heading to college. My job is to teach these students “real world” skills that include workplace skills, home making skills, and budgeting. Some of my students have no home support so it falls to me to teach them these skills. My budget for these classes has been cut each year for the past few years and this year it has been cut over 45%. I am wanting to increase my students’ exposure to various kitchen appliances and at this point in time there is no funding available to do that. Without these supplies my students will not be able to cook as much and it is very hard to teach cooking skills without adequate equipment. Please help me fund my project to get my students the help they need!
My Project
We are very blessed to have a class set of Chromebooks. But one thing I have noticed is that students do not like to use them because they have issues with maneuvering the mouse and clicking to paste and what not.
With these wireless mice they will be able to use the chrome books like small desktop computers and it will help them out tremendously.
Our schools are becoming more and more tech driven and I want to make it as easy to use as possible. Thank you for your continued support.
