My Project
Wireless headphones in our listening station will allow students to spend less time untangling the multiple headsets that we currently have. Students will quickly be able to adjust the headphones and volume to start the story.
Most books we listen to have fun sound effects, music and character voices that are especially motivating for kids.
Books at our listening station support the content we are studying in class. We listen to both fiction and non fiction stories.
Listening Stations provide students with a model of fluent reading. They also allow students to reflect on a book and be able to respond to literature. I have found that listening to a book on CD helps my students see how the words on the page can come alive in a fluid, expressive way.
Audio books will give my students an important introduction to listening-a skill that is essential for young students to master.
