Wireless and Coding!

My students need a wireless keyboard and mouse for use with our Smartboard which is located in the back of the room. My students need books on web design and coding.

My Students

My students are the entirety of our school. I serve all the students at our school in the discipline of science. My students come to me ready to learn, explore, and experiment to become critical thinkers.

Part of my school is Title I, which means they come from high poverty and may not have access to materials and resources at home.

Part of my school is Magnet, which means their parents may not live close by, but have chosen to send their child here because of the opportunities and experiences they can be a part of at our school.

My Project

At the present time, the Smart Board is located at the front of the Science Lab and the computer that controls the Smart Board is located at the rear of the Science Lab.

Having a wireless keyboard and mouse would allow me, or the students, to control the Smart Board from anywhere in the room.

This would give us the freedom to change from video clips, diagrams, informational websites and other applications without being tethered to the stationary technology housed in the rear of the room.

Having this kind of freedom would allow groups of students to utilize the smart board while working in a small group while other groups are working on their own projects instead of only being used in a whole group setting.

My students are interested in Web design and coding. Starting a library of coding books will help them in this endeavor.
