My Project

To keep our Music Tech Lab running efficiently, we need essential networking and cable management tools that support reliable, high-speed connections for our recording and production stations. With multiple computers, recording devices, and sound systems in constant use, well-organized and stable wiring ensures our students spend less time troubleshooting and more time creating.

10 Best Buy Essentials 10' Cat-6 Ethernet Cables (Blue) – for strong, high-speed connections across our lab workstations.

4 TP-Link 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Network Switches (TL-SG108) – to connect multiple computers and devices seamlessly.

Wrap-It Multi-Color (36-Pack) Storage Cable Labels – to keep cables organized and clearly labeled, reducing confusion and downtime.

Blulu 100-Piece Adhesive Cable Clips – to neatly route and secure cables, ensuring a safer and more efficient workspace.

With these items, our students will experience a professional-level studio environment that models real-world practices in music technology and STEM careers.

Why This Project is Important

In today’s world, music technology is as much about STEM as it is about creativity. Students are not only learning to compose and perform but also to understand networking, troubleshooting, and organization—skills that are transferable to careers in IT, engineering, and digital media. Organized, efficient systems build responsibility and give students confidence that their work environment supports their success.
