Wiping Off Our Wet Feet Before Making Super Art

Help me give my students important basic supplies: paper plates and foil for endless fun art projects and mats to wipe our feet when we come in from safety drills and outside art exploration.

My Project

Door mats, paper plates and foil help our students get right to fun learning and enhance a positive work environment. During outside safety drills students come in with wet feet with grass on them. Currently we only have a small slab of concrete to wipe our feet on which doesn’t help clean their shoes off or deal with the wetness. My students are choosing to work in a variety of locations in our room such as: at different tables, sitting under tables with clip boards, or sitting or laying on the carpet floor. Making sure students are comfortable, clean and not distracted is a key component in motivating them.

My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are in a clean environment with easily accessible supplies such as plates and foil to create their art.

The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them ways to clean their feet, carry and make their art.

I have seen how choice to use these basic supplies helps students share and collaborate which can positively affect my students work and demeanor. Thank you for offering these options to help us grow even more!
