My Students

My school is an elementary school located in Southwest Atlanta composed of PreK through fifth grade. 100% of my students receive Free/Reduced lunch. My students come from homes with limited finances. But, when they come to school it is my responsibility to make sure that they have a positive and welcoming environment.

My students are academically challenged and are working from a learning gap.

These students are on average two grade levels behind in reading which cause them to be behind in other academic areas.

My Project

Runny noses and germy hands come in and out of our classroom each day. Shared space with many students mean lots of germs! It is very important for students and teachers to be in school every day and to ensure we are present in class we must help keep the germs away!

We all carry germs, so it's very important to help ensure we keep our space clean!

I am requesting Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, Lysol disinfectant spray, and Kleenex tissues. My students enjoy helping me clean our classroom. I feel that this also teaches them the importance of taking care of themselves, and the "how" to do it.
