Winter Warmth!

My students need warm socks, hats, gloves and bags in order to survive the cold winter months!

My Students

All of my students live in a large city in Michigan and receive free lunch. Many of my students come to me speaking little or no English. Here, at our wonder school there is something for everyone. Even the parents like to engage in our learning opportunities.

My students don't like sitting around, they like to be engaged and to explore new things.

As their teacher, I would like to make available a wide variety of learning materials so they can engage and learn in a variety of ways. We love to document what we see and do.

My Project

Many of my students face challenges because the basic need of warmth is not being met. Keeping them warm is something that is so important. When one is cold, their mind is consumed with thought of warmth instead of learning. The hats and gloves will stop them from getting cold and frost bitten on their way to school. The fleece wear and socks will keep them feeling warm. Warmth is very important as the temperature gets below freezing in the winter here in Michigan.

Keeping my students warm is critical during these cold winter months!

The warm items will keep them warm and allow for learning to take place! Funding this project would make a huge difference in my students lives and their parents would be appreciative as well because a basic need is being met.
