Winter Gardening

My Students

I work with an amazing group of students who are motivated to learn about and explore the world around them. Their drive to learn about our Earth and investigate the way things work has motivated me as a teacher and made my transition to a new school a truly life-changing event.

My students' motivation and drive to work hard and understand what they are exploring is amazing!

I have students who constantly want to revise work, stay for help, and complete extra work to increase their grasp of new concepts. I am so excited to see the projects and work that continues to grow in the minds of my students.

My Project

We are expanding our growing season and building a larger greenhouse for winter gardening. My students have been so excited to see the garden growing and love the idea of having a large walk-in greenhouse that we can use all winter long.

Our gardening program has been an inspiration for classes and after school programming.

We are excited to expand our program to grow greens all winter long and to have a greenhouse that we can all walk and work in. We are also looking forward to installing some portable water barrels so we can collect and use rainwater instead of adding additional strain to our city system and hooking up to the building.
