This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The complete class sets of books I am requesting for my classroom will provide the opportunity for all the learners to engage in long reads about student-centered topics such as: discovering their voice & never giving up. These books will be at the heart of our exploration of quarterly explorations into essential questions such as " What are the ways you can make yourself heard?" and "What keeps people from giving up?"

Every student will be able to participate in the novel study with the support of teacher read-aloud, partner reading, or independent reading.

These books were selected by current 6th graders after reading the first chapter of each book and taking a survey.
