Help me give my students engaging books for read aloud that capture experiences we can all discuss and learn from.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are eager learners, full of heart! This year a big focus in our class will be on Social-Emotional learning and building community. Many of the topics of the books will help us learn about ourselves and others and develop empathy and understanding of one another.
These stories provide "windows" to see others' experiences and let others see our own.
With such stories, we will be able to have thoughtful discussions and grow open minds, especially about others who might have a different story than our own. Some will be and light, some more serious. No matter the format, books like these are a beautiful way to inspire courageous conversations and deepen our connections in the classroom.
