My Project
Help me give my students diverse books, storage bins, and anchor chart paper to support identity, empathy, and inclusion. The books will serve as “windows and mirrors”—helping students see themselves in stories while also learning about others. Storage bins will keep our growing classroom library organized and accessible, encouraging students to explore these important books independently. Anchor chart paper will help us create visual reminders of our classroom values, key vocabulary, and reflections from discussions. These resources will build a welcoming, inclusive space where every child feels seen, valued, and inspired to respect and celebrate differences.
My upcoming 2nd graders are curious, kind, and full of wonder.
They come from diverse backgrounds and are eager to learn about themselves and the world around them. They are at a special age where stories shape their understanding of identity and fairness, and they thrive when they feel seen and valued.
