Wind Wisdom: Engineering Physics Through Wind Tunnel Explorations

My Project
I love my students' curiosity and enthusiasm for hands-on learning. They are a diverse group, each bringing unique perspectives and energy to the classroom.
My students have an eagerness to explore and understand the world is truly inspiring, driving me to provide the best educational experiences possible.
The wind tunnel will be the centerpiece of our project, allowing students to gain a practical understanding of aerodynamics, fluid dynamics, and physics principles. It will help them visualize airflow, measure forces, and understand concepts like drag and lift in a tangible way. Our Wind Tunnel Kit requires support hoops and plastic sheeting to make the (tube) tunnel. The additional supplies include a box fan and cardboard boxes we already have available.
High-quality materials will ensure the wind tunnel is functional and safe, teaching students about precision and quality in engineering projects.
Students will be able to understand drag, forces while employing the engineering design process, and pivoting a research plan when given new criteria. The goal of this project will be to enhance student understanding of Physics while deepening students' grasp of key physics concepts through interactive, hands-on activities while using the design process.
My students are exceptional because of their diverse backgrounds and shared passion for learning. They are resilient, creative, and eager to take on new challenges. Their collaborative spirit and mutual support create a positive and dynamic learning environment where everyone can thrive. This project will enhance their understanding of physics and empower them with the skills and confidence to tackle any challenge.
