This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach at an inner school with limited resources fill with beautiful children. I love them because they bring so much joy to my life. 100% of my students come from disadvantaged backgrounds-60% Latino and 40% African-American. They love school and are such eager learners and I so want to give them everything they need to foster learning in the classroom. Some of my students have to be sent home with pencils and crayons so that they can get their homework done. They are so eager to learn and I find myself buying supplies they need because the school can only give us so much. I know it will go long way in helping me make sure my kids meet the goals set for this year if they had the necessary items to succeed. I need headphones so bad because all the ones I've found in the classroom and around the school does not work. Could you please help me get the items they need?
