This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our second graders are smart, thoughtful, leaders, respectful, and appreciative! Our second graders have a passion for learning and are working hard to be great leaders both in and out of the classroom.
And our second graders are resilient!
Like many kids through the world, our students have gone through so many changes over the past year with Virtual learning, in-person learning, change of staff, change of procedures and through it all the keep going with smiles on their faces!
My Project
Like many children right now, our second graders haven't experienced a stable, fun, and engaging learning environment with virtual learning, modified/safe classroom set ups, etc. And now my class (which is an added classroom due to increased enrollment), is once again disrupting their experience so I want to create a fun, engaging, themed reading/learning environment for my class so they can explore and find a love for reading and learning! The items in my project will be used to immerse them in an environment and create a safe space for learning!
