Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students are wonderful, motivated, curious, and ready to learn kindergartners who would love more supplies to help them reach the stars and become everything they want to be and more!

My students consist of children from all different cultures and backgrounds, however the one thing they all have in common is they come from poverty stricken families. Our school district provides us with limited materials, that are not enough or newly updated to allow the children to achieve to their fullest potential.

The resources needed are literacy materials such as leveled readers, phonics pocket charts, and literacy center manipulatives. These are all to use during whole group instruction, centers, guided reading and take home interventions. I have a handful of parents who are ready and willing to help their children succeed, however they are lacking the funds to buy materials. I am hoping to send certain things home with students to use as interventions to help them improve.

As a young teacher beginning to start a family, I struggle myself with money. However I have put anything extra I have towards my children(by that I mean my 28 students). Your help would help immensely in ensuring that my students receive the best education possible with all the supports and interventions in place. My students are the most grateful children I have met and truly appreciate all that is given to them. On behalf of all my little friends we are hoping and wishing you can make our dreams come true! Thanks so much!
