My Project

I am excited to provide each student at my school with a copy of The Wild Robot Escapes to inspire their love of reading and deepen their engagement with literature. This story of Roz, a robot navigating a new environment and discovering what it means to connect and survive, offers both adventure and important lessons in empathy, resilience, and the relationship between technology and nature.

How will this project make a difference in their learning?

Having their own personal copy of The Wild Robot Escapes will empower students to engage in independent reading, deepen their comprehension, and build critical thinking skills. This resource will also allow them to explore complex themes, such as adaptation, survival, and empathy. With the book in hand, students will have the opportunity to reread sections, take notes, and have meaningful discussions that deepen their understanding.

Goals for this project:

-Foster a love of reading by giving students a story they can connect with.

-Improve literacy skills through independent reading, discussion, and reflection.

-Build empathy and problem-solving skills through the relatable themes of the book.

This project will not only promote literacy, but it will also give them a meaningful resource they can carry with them, inspiring curiosity and personal growth long after they finish reading.
