Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As two high school counselors, the items on this list will help us fulfill our goal of cultivating a safe space for high school girls. This small group will focus on self-love, self-worth, healthy relationships, and resiliency. With the growing concern regarding social media and the expectation young girls feel to match the "influencer" image, we have the goal of allowing them to be the best version of themselves, their true selves. These materials will help us get them there. For example, the girls will be given club shirts as a gift to remind themselves that no matter where they are, we are all a part of the Wild Hearts Club. We will also be making "friendship" bracelets with a word of their choosing to remind themselves of who they are during hard times. Thank you so much for your donation to our small group and for sharing the love with our wild hearts.
