Help me give my students a copy of “The Wild Robot” to explore fictional literature.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Del Castillo's classroom raised $305
This project is fully funded
My Project
In my 3rd grade classroom, we spend so much time growing as readers. Working at a Title 1 school, access to new publications is challenging. This project is in the hopes of putting books into the hands of my students.
The novel "The Wild Robot" by Peter Brown is a remarkable story that encourages students to love reading through adventure and empathy.
This novel will be used to learn the creative elements of fiction, character development, and imagery. It is necessary to provide each student their own copy for classroom discussions and independent reading. The Wild Robot tells of a story about a robot who crashes into a remote island and through the power of technology and science learns to survive. This plot allows so much connection in cross content in science and STEM. It will serve a great purpose demonstrating to students the power of science in life.
