This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our library next year we are going Wild About Reading! Our students love all things animals, so we want to embrace the animal theme and provide them with books, activities, and incentives all centered around animals!
When students have an interest in what they are reading, they are more likely to be excited and engaged with the library!
We want to encourage students to be wild about the library by providing students with not just great animal books, but also setting up creation stations with animal crafts, providing animal puppets for storytelling, animal-themed incentives for reading, and opportunities for creative play. We will even use binoculars for safari book hunting and zoomed in reading! We are so excited to embrace the theme Wild about Reading in our library next year!
