From a small town in Texas, twenty students create our classroom home. They all enjoy being creative and crave education.
These students are dedicated to their school.
The value of education is held high in this town for students to achieve success. This district offers many opportunities for students to reach their dreams.
Everyone knows everybody, and they are very social in class because of this small town. The community is tight-knit, and the students get along great with one another. The schools are the main focus in this community!
My Project
I plan for this project to help students reach goals in their learning they didn't know exsisted. I would like to have an abundance of seating or standing options for my students to be comfortable and become successful in our classroom.
A warm and inviting classroom environment is key for students to go beyond their comfort zone and gain new knowledge.
The dry-erase tables will be standing height so students may work in small groups for various activities in all subjects. The chairs and kneeling mats will be placed around the room for a larger variety of options that students feel the most comfortable working in.
In my previous classroom, I have noticed an increase in attendance as well as higher grades and better attention spans due to students being allowed to choose their own seating. These students will be using these seating or standing arrangements the entire school day.
