My Project
My fourth-grade students have a lot of energy and enjoy having the option to move around the classroom, but they are craving different seating options. Currently, we only have the option of our regular chairs. My goal is to bring different options into the classroom.
Flexible seating empowers student choice, enhances collaboration, and improves student comfort which in turn improves academic performance.
Flexible seating brings excitement into the classroom when students see more seating options than they are previously used to.
By bringing 6 stools into our classroom, it will allow students to move a little more freely than they would in a normal chair. The stools will be used for small group instruction so we can fit more students in our small group area. Students will also be able to use these stools throughout the day at their desks when they would like more freedom to move.
