Have you ever had a difficult time sitting still at school. That is how my fifth grade students feel every day! We need a stool that will allow my students to move while they are sitting still!
My fifth grade attend a Title I school.
Many of them are restless when then need to be in their seats for most of their day. They want to move around. Transitioning to another chair in the room is not enough for these active students! They need something that will help them get their wiggles out without distracting other students. Hokki stools wobble so that the students can wiggle without distracting others.
My Project
This stool will be used all day long. Each student will have the opportunity to sit on this stool to encourage them to focus. Our bodies are meant to move. The motion of the Hokki Stool stimulates the body physically and mentally to help students maximize their learning.
Helping my students physically engage during school will help them to mentally focus on their learning.
My students who rarely are engaged during class will be more motivated and will have the opportunity to get some of their energy out. The Hokki Stools will also help my students to be more active during their long school days.
