Wiggling While We Learn

My students need flexible seating including a reading pillow, balance ball and inflatable seat cushion.

My Students

My students are just starting out in school. For many of them, this is the first time they've ever been in a school environment. I want to give them the best experience of school and set them up for success!

I teach in a high poverty school in Florida where most students are on free or reduced lunch.

School is a place where my students come to learn and grow. I want them to have every advantage possible, so they develop a love of learning and curiosity about the world in which they live.

My Project

These flexible seating options will allow my students the chance to be comfortable while they are learning how to read and learning the skills to help them grow as people.

I have very high energy students who can't sit still in traditional chairs.

Flexible seating will increase their focus and learning by allowing them needed movement as they work.

They can balance on a stability cushion or relax in the reading seat with a good book. Maybe the will bounce on an exercise ball seat as they complete their addition problems. This will be the beginning of many seating options for my students to find how they learn the best.
