Wiggles Welcome: Flexible Seating for Focused Learners

My Project
My students are kind, curious, and full of energy. They come to school each day eager to learn, but many struggle to focus when sitting in traditional desks all day. Most of my students are students of color from low-income households, and they face barriers that go beyond the classroom. As dual language learners, they work hard in both English and Spanish, and they deserve a classroom that meets their unique academic and social-emotional needs.
When kids feel physically comfortable, their brains are free to do the real work; thinking, creating, and growing.
The round floor cushions will give students a soft, inviting place to sit for reading, group work, and partner activities. The Lakeshore Flex-Space Premium Wobble Chair will help students who need to move while learning stay focused and engaged without being disruptive.
Flexible seating is more than just a classroom upgrade. It is a way to create a more equitable and responsive space where all students feel calm, capable, and supported, regardless of their background or learning style. Giving them choice in how they sit supports both their bodies and their minds.
