My Students

We are from a small Title I school in one of the most beautiful places in the country. We may be small, but we are big in spirit. We help one another and care for one another. Unfortunately, being a Title I school means that we are a low income community as well.

Our students don't always get the same opportunities and supplies that bigger communities and schools get.

As any teacher will say, there just isn't even funding to supply the students with what they need without digging into our own pockets. In my class, we are scientists, authors, artists, singers, mathematicians, dancers, and athletes. My students know that they can feel comfortable being who they are and whatever they want to be.

My Project

Many of my students are experiencing loss of learning because of COVID. I want to be able to provide my students with better headphones for programs that we use in our district to help with this learning. I have many students that appear to have ADHD. The noise cancelling headphones will help these students to focus on their learning. Also the wiggle cushions are much needed to help several of my students to stay focused and get their wiggles out while learning.

Our school is old and uses a swamp cooler to cool the air.

I would like an air purifier to create better air for my students to breathe as well as filter our any germs that they might encounter.
