This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a room full of energetic, curious, kind, playful, bright, active learners who love to move around, communicate and explore together. We have 12 boys and 12 girls from diverse backgrounds and cultures. These students are developing critical thinking skills together in an Advanced Studies classroom.
In addition to a rigorous academic pace, above grade level demands and learning to integrate technology and the arts across the curriculum, these students have an abundance of energy.
They need to be physically active to increase their memory and concentration during learning. Our school lacks PE equipment. We are lucky if we have 3 different balls at one time. These bright students thrive when they are presented with new challenges and a variety of options (inside and outside the classroom). Please help them get new and exciting equipment to play with and to promote their physical fitness.
My Project
Sitting on wiggle chairs with a knee up or a leg crossed will help students focus on their work, while still allowing them flexibility to move in their seats. Fun PE equipment will engage all students during physical activity, so they can be physically fit but also more ready to learn and retain knowledge in the classroom.
Help us make PE time more exciting with a variety of materials and equipment not otherwise available to these students.
They will LOVE the numerous new options and fun activities that will accompany these materials! These students are bright and love exploring new things.
