My Project
Our school was built in the 1960's and it's fairly likely the current furniture is just about as old. I want my students to have a space that reflects the needs of children in 2023. My students deserve the opportunity to move their little bodies.
Wobble chairs are a great flexible seating option because it allows children to get their wiggles out and be able to concentrate more on their studies.
Children need to move. I am a big believer in allowing children to move freely around the classroom to choose a space where they can do their learning. This means it is important for me to provide many flexible seating options. Flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. In turn, this burns more calories and increases metabolism. It also helps keep young minds more alert and focused.
