Help me give my students the flexible seating they need to help them focus and allow them to "wiggle" when they need to.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Lau's classroom raised $802

My Students
I am fortunate to teach a diverse multilingual group of bright eyed 22 second graders in an urban school. They are an active and curious group of children who come from various cultural and social economic backgrounds with varying learning needs. They come to school ready to learn and to become independent learners.
I feel blessed and honored to be able to work with this wonderful, caring and eager group of learners.
Everyday they come to school with a positive attitude to learn.
My Project
We are requesting six K'Motion stools for flexible seating they need to help them focus and allow them to "wiggle" when they need to. Helping our classroom have flexible seating will allow the students to have the opportunity to use different chairs other than the traditional upright chairs that we are used to.
Students will be able to have options to sit in these "wobble" chairs to help them focus and get their "wiggles" out while working.
These chairs provide the "active" seating some students need - moving to the students' natural movement when sitting.
"Wobble" chairs will be a wonderful addition to the classroom, and provide the "wiggles' for students. These chairs can stimulate students' sense of touch, and through this, it can help students focus and process information. Our classroom also includes students who need sensory stimulation and these chairs will be a great resource for them to assist them with their focus and concentration.
More than half of students from low‑income households
