Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I want to create a classroom community where students can have flexible seating to allow them to become more successful and engaged in their learning.
Flexible seating allows my students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them.
During small group instruction or independent work, students will be able to choose from a variety of options on how they would like to sit. The items can be moved easily from one place to another so that our classroom can be adaptable for all students.
Students who are given the option to choose their seating arrangement are more engaged in their learning.
As an adult, I struggle with sitting in a chair for a very long time. I want my students to feel comfortable and enjoy coming to their second home. The items I have selected will help my students become productive students and will help them keep the wiggles out and allow them to learn.
