My Students
Our school is in a town of less than twenty thousand and all of our students get free lunch. Our district has a great technology center where my kids have learned valuable skills in construction, auto tech, welding and more.
My students are great kids that happen to have learning difficulties.
As students with special needs, all of my kids have learning gaps. They all need individualized instruction to close the gap between where they are and where they need to be academically. Please help them continue to close their academic gaps so they will be ready for college and careers after graduation!
My Project
My students are sitting in desks more then ever at school. We have to remain 6 feet apart and facing the same direction during class. This means less movement which results in shorter attention spans.
Wiggle seats allow students to move around while remaining socially distanced.
These are sturdy, inflatable discs that sit on the student chairs. They are similar to stability discs you might use at the gym. Studies show that just the little bit of movement allowed by these wobbly cushions help students with problems focusing on instruction to pay attention longer.
