My Project
I teach special needs children math and I have several students that need help with sitting still. Being confound to a chair can be difficult for students and so adding these to the bottom of my chairs allows them to rock without the safety issue of them tipping over. My goal is to engage students while also getting out their jitters.
Students need a way to get out their energy in a safe way, that also keeps them in the classroom and engages them.
Allowing options like flexible seating aids in a better classroom environment. Students feel more welcome and want to try harder when they know the classroom they have it there for them!
