This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With increased enrollment this year, our inclusive ESE classroom is the need of a few more options for flexible seating so I have created this extension to my first Wiggle While We Work Project. Like many children right now, our second graders haven't experienced a stable, fun, and engaging learning environment with virtual learning, and modified/safe classroom setups, so often my students struggle to maintain focus sitting in their seats for our entire school day. In my class, we spend a lot of time moving, adjusting, and stretching to help maintain our focus and keep us engaged.
Research shows flexible seating options provide students will an optimum learning environment and aid in maintaining focus.
The items in my project will be used to immerse them in an environment and create a safe space for learning!
