Wiggle While We Work

My students need five Kore Wobble Chairs to get their wiggles out without disrupting their classmates. This will also help them stay focused longer during instruction.

My Students

“A person’s a person, no matter how small.” - Dr. Seuss I am not just teaching curriculum, I am teaching children. Without feeling safe and comfortable no one can learn. Kore Wobble Chairs will allow my students this liberty.

In my classroom there are 18 eager first graders.

They are curious, active, and always keep me on my toes, Our school qualifies as Title 1 with an astounding poverty rate. Many students come to school carrying more baggage than just their backpacks. Despite their hurdles, these first graders are committed and excited every single day. They love learning and always give me 110% .

My Project

My students are 6 and 7 years old - they are natural wigglers. Even with regular breaks to get their wiggles out they still need more. During guided reading I need their utmost focus in order to make them better readers. Kore Wobble Chairs will allow my students to continue to move their bodies while focusing on their academics without disrupting themselves or others. These chairs will transform boring seated activities into a way of burning excess energy and engaging core muscles for better health.

When my students are challenged, they rise to the occasion, but they still deserve the freedom to be children.

I want to empower and motivate these young scholars by giving them this great tool. If they can wiggle while they work; they will be less inhibited and more engaged.
