Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach reading small groups for K-4th grade students! I currently have four wiggle seats that the students take turns using these during small groups. They are always asking when it will be their turn again to use the wiggle chair. Having two more chairs would make it so students wouldn't have to take turns and each student would have their own chair each day! I was skeptical of these chairs at first and thought they would be a distraction. However, after using these seats with students, I've seen how much they enhance a student's ability to maintain focus for longer periods of time.
Many students really benefit from the ability to move while they learn.
These wiggle seats provide students with the ability to move as they read without distracting others. Adding a couple more of these chairs would be a great benefit for students during small group reading time!
