This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class consists of a group of middle and high school students who are at various academic levels in a Title 1 school. They are part of the Engineering Arts and Technology Magnet, therefore look forward to working together with their classmates and sharing the knowledge they have gained. As enthusiastic learners they come to class every day eager to learn something new. Currently they have a limited view of our assignments, videos and text due to the projector we currently have. The limited projection makes it difficult for all students to access the projected visuals. A wide screen projector will help students stay engaged and actively participate in daily lessons.

My Project

My students and I will benefit significantly from a wide screen projector. The wide screen projector will help me reach all of my students and I won't have to constantly rearrange seating for students. With the larger projection, I will be able to reach my students with different modes of communication other than language.

Students will be able to see instruction, directions, text and instructional videos from any seat in the classroom.

It will bring the lessons to focus, therefore increase classroom engagement. Lastly, the projector will assist my English Language Learners by providing them with visual cues in readings or discussions that are sometimes hard to process.
