This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are hard-working and deserve the best. My goal has been to create a space that is safe and organized. One request that I have received from students is that we need more space for experiments and to move around the room. For the past two years, we have received help from donors to start the process of creating wide-open spaces. In order to create more space, my plan for this year is to get rid of the big bulky teacher desk and replace it with a standing desk. To create more organization, I have added a wireless mouse, keyboard, speakers, and an under-the-desk organizer and cabinet. The chair will be used by me and shared with my students. I intend to use it as a reward for hard work, growth, and good behavior. Students love to sit on special chairs! I will use the Epson scanner to integrate technology by teaching students how to scan their paper assignments. The shipping labels will be used with our interactive notebook binders. The doorbell will be used as an attention-getter. Last, the "moon in my room" will be helpful when we cover moon phases.
