My Students
My students arrive to school each day eager to learn. I teach both gifted and remedial students at a visual and performing arts K-8 school located in downtown Savannah.
My students are a fabulous and diverse group of artists, musicians, and scientists.
We explore dinosaurs, pirates, Ancient Egypt and knights and castles, while learning to read and becoming accomplished mathematicians. We learn about artists, music, and coding. My 21st century students are adept with technology. This caring community of learners need some options in flexible seating.
My Project
We are requesting three wobble seats which will help my students succeed by giving them a more active choice in seating. The fabulous wobble seats will give my most distractible students a way to stay focused.
Fidgety students can rock away while they listen to instruction and work on independent projects.
Bonus, the rocking motion builds stability in students with weak core strength, gives the kids needed vestibular input to promote better focus, attention, and engagement AND reduces stress and promotes great posture. Wobble seats will help me met the needs of my students simply by offering more options for seating in my classroom.
