Teaching in an urban high school presents many challenges that are quickly being overcome by the use of technology in the classroom.

For example, producing a student-driven newspaper proved to cost too much in printing fees, and the program was recently shut down. However, with the use of the Internet, teachers and students have been able to begin an online newspaper that is every bit as relevant and educational for students as our print newspaper was. Unfortunately, we are lacking several resources that would make for a truly impressive online newspaper.

We need a digital camera that staff of the newspaper could use to capture sporting events and other school related activities for our newspaper.

Your donation would enrich the experiences of countless students at our high school. By giving these kids an opportunity to employ the lessons they've learned in language arts classes to real world situations, they will gain important experience that will serve them as they continue their education.
