This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My first graders are little people full of energy and enthusiasm to learn each day! They are curious and willing to try new things. Unfortunately due to their economic status and neighborhood they live in, their opportunities to try new things are limited.
They live in a high poverty community where they struggle to get their needs met and most of the time their educational needs are put aside.
They deserve a high quality education and classroom. They deserve to get all the supplies and resources to foster their learning each day.
My Project
My first graders are eager to learn how to read and write. Teaching remoting has been difficult to teach them how to write! They need guidance and practice! The primary lined notebooks are great and super helpful in their writing practice. The primary lines helps them print neatly and accurately. They can practice at home as I model in class. They are excited to show me their work through the screen and these notebooks can help me see their progress. I can also guide them where they need it as they write each day!
