Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach Special Education where I have students with various levels of skills and abilities across all subjects. To make learning more accessible to them, I am often adapting and modifying the curriculum to meet their unique needs.
As a teacher, I am always looking for materials that my students love, however, the cost of these unique and individualized resources comes completely out of my pocket.
In this project, I am requesting gift cards to the website Teachers Pay Teachers or TpT. This website is a marketplace for teachers to share resources that cover all skill levels, grades, subject areas, and themes. Activities are available in printable files and ready-to-use digital activities. The gift card I am asking for will allow me to not only find resources that address the academic needs of my students but also allow me to find activities that are about things they already love. I'll be able to get dinosaur-themed handwriting packets, unicorn and rainbow-themed math games and outer space adorned flashcards.
