Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom has many different learning styles/needs and it is predominately composed of ELL students. My students are from low economic backgrounds and are eager to learn.
My students are constantly curious and have questions about their new culture and the world around them.
I would like to continue to foster their thirst for knowledge. My students are thinkers, questioners, dreamers, and most importantly, leaders. They will then take this knowledge to their home and apply it to their daily lives.
My Project
My students need tools and resources to help them engage in learning in a daily basis. I'm requesting a wiggle seats for young learners and chair rubber bands to help my low-income students control and calm their minds and bodies. This will accelerate their learning and engagement daily . They need an inviting space to dive into math, science, literacy, feel successful, and develop a love for reading from Kindergarten on. My students will be engaged in hands-on, fun, and exciting learning activities to promote and accelerate their learning journey. With these new resources, my students will feel empowered and independent while using these new tools.
