My Students

My fourth grade students are inquisitive, risk takers, determined, and enthusiastic. Their ideas, passion, and knowledge are truly inspiring. The students have a willingness to share and communicate with their peers that is a positive asset in the classroom.

My students walk into the class every morning knowing that they can rise to the challenges presented to them through hard work and perseverance.

The students are a diverse group of learners. They are encouraged to learn and grow at their own speed to become capable and confident learners.

My Project

Last year I came across a series of books called Who Was..? and What Was...? The students absolutely loved them and I could not buy the books fast enough. I recently discovered a few more books that show students Where Is...? and Who Is...?

These are high interest nonfiction chapter books.

I am excited to introduce these books to the students in my classroom this upcoming school year. These books allow the students to read about history and different ways of life. The series will also allow students to read a biography about current day authors, musicians, politicians, and places. These books have been nothing but inspirational and a great addition to the classroom!
