My Students
When I step in front of my classroom at the beginning of the day and look at my students, I know that a great day awaits me. My students greet me with smiles, questions, and eager faces; they are ready to learn, and I am ready to teach them all that I can.
My students are incredible, curious, adept, and capable learners.
My students speak different languages (over 19 languages at our school) and all have tremendous talent to share with each other. My students jump into their daily learning with zeal. They work together, laugh together, learn together, and share everything in their classroom community.
My Project
The world is full of individuals who make a difference every day! My students want a library full of biography books to read about people who have made a difference in diverse communities and history! These books will feature civil rights leaders, athletes, soldiers, climate leaders, writers, judges, astronauts, mathematicians, scientists, agriculturists, animal advocates, musicians, presidents, diplomats, peace leaders, and more!
Help my students learn about famous individuals who have changed the world!
Students will use these books to create a biography project based on the book that they choose. They will research, read, and create a collection of information to share with our school about these amazing individuals! Using a display board, they will gather information for display, write a report based on their book, and then present their famous person to visiting classes.
