My Students

Hello DonorsChoose Community! We are a diverse group of kind, caring, intelligent students who are at a community high school. We love literature and are excited to expand our ever-growing library with new and diverse books!

Our aim is to broaden our horizons and the types of texts we're reading in order to capture the attention of the entire classroom.

That's where you come in! Please help our students engage with fresh and exciting new texts in our classroom by ensuring that every student has a copy of our shared reading.

My Project

Our students are completing an in-depth study of philosophy, graphic novel structure, metanarrative, epigraph research, and complex literary analysis using a graphic novel that will reach the attention of even the most reluctant readers. Please help ensure that every single student gets a book to hold and love.

Not all students read and learn the same way.

Watchmen will help redefine what can and should be read in an English classroom. The graphic novel is a timely and politically resonant text that allows our students to engage with moral and ethical quandaries they'll hold with them moving forward.

Please help our students engage with a rich narrative experience that will kindle passion and deep intellectual struggle.
