Do you remember jumping out of your seat when the teacher would ask, "Who would like to come up to the board to solve this problem?" Every student needs this opportunity!
The school that I teach at is a small school with 103 students nestled in Northern California.
I teach a fourth and fifth grade combination class. The class consists of nine girls and fourteen boys. Our school offers a variety of enrichment and athletic programs. There are a variety of backgrounds and socioeconomic situations found within our families.
My Project
30 white boards: Gives each student a chance to answer questions and practice state standards at their desk. Using an individual white board at the student's desk is a huge time saver and gives all students the chance to participate in the lesson practice.
Board Markers: Can't write without the markers.
Let's not discourage or take this enthusiasm of answering questions away from any student and give them the opportunity to work on the board each day.
These supplies will help students succeed in all subject areas.
