Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
After this school year, I realized the importance of having all of students' class work, notes, and homework in one organized place. To address this, I have decided to have students complete all their work in a notebook. This system will help them easily reference information, learn organizational skills, and understand the significance of maintaining a well-kept notebook. Additionally, it fosters a sense of responsibility as they will be required to bring their notebooks to class daily.
To make note-taking more engaging, I intend to incorporate cutting and gluing activities as well as using foldables in my students' notebooks.
This hands-on approach aims to enhance their retention of the material by associating notes with interactive tasks. Students will have the freedom to be creative with their notebooks so I would like to provide them with highlighters, markers, and colored pencils to personalize their notes. These materials will help students who are visual learners and students who like to color code their notes.
I believe that these supplies and notebooks will not only make learning more interactive and enjoyable but also improve students' overall engagement and comprehension of the curriculum.
